Cis-gender is a term ascribed to a person who identifies with the same gender assigned to them at birth. For example - a person who was assigned male gender at birth and identifies as a man a cis-gender man.&nbsp;
Not all conform with the construct of the same gender assigned to them. The term "transgender" or "trans" refers to those whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned to them at birth. For instance, if a person was assigned the male gender at birth but preferrs to identify as a woman as they grew older, They are referred to as transgender or a trans woman.
Gender Fluidity: A Concept&nbsp;
Most people identify with one gender their entire lives, but as mentioned not all. Gender identity is a fluid and dynamic concept.&nbsp; Individuals who identify as "gender-fluid," indicate that their gender is flexible and they can identify with one or more genders at any given point.

Non-binary, quite simply, refers to all identities that are outside the binary of male and female, on the gender spectrum. Although there are different non-binary genders, some are talked about more than others. These consist of:
1. Agender: A person who does not identify themselves as having a particular gender.
2. Bigender: Having two distinct gender identities, either simultaneously or alternatively.
3. Pangender: A person whose gender identity is not limited to one gender and who may feel like a member of all genders at the same time.
4. Genderqueer: Someone who does not follow binary gender norms.
5. Androgynous: Identifying and/or presenting as neither distinguishably masculine nor feminine.

Both Gender fluidity and Non-binary are overlaping concepts, often confused with one another. Most people categorise gender-fluid individuals as non-binary, and many of them believe that this description applies to them. But not all gender-fluid people are non-binary. Similarly, a lot of non-binary people don't think their gender changes with time, thus they don&rsquo;t identify as gender-fluid.

Every human being is assigned one of the three commonly known genders (male, female, and intersex) at birth. According to societal norms, each of these said genders is expected to have certain traits. But not everyone feels comfortable conforming to the traits of their assigned gender.
